Western Healthcare Sponsors Golf Tournament to Raise Money For Children With Disabilities

Western Donates $10,000 to Project Angel Fares at 2022 Golf Charity Classic

Western Healthcare had the honor of serving as a gold sponsor and competing at the Golf Charity Classic on April 8, 2022 led by Project Angel Fares.

Project Angel Fares is a 501c3 nonprofit providing families who have a child with a special healthcare need or disability the opportunity to visit two popular theme parks in San Antonio, Texas called Morgan’s Wonderland and Morgan’s Inspiration Island. These families that would otherwise not be able to afford such a trip are provided with a 4-day vacation with all expenses paid. Project Angel Fares hosts the golf tournament each year to raise funds to make these trips possible.

There were 20 total teams competing at the tournament. Playing for Western Healthcare (from left to right below) was Jim Pipkin, Trey Davis, John Burger, and Ted Jakus. The most rewarding moment for the team was handing the donation to Project Angel Fares and learning about the families it will benefit.

“We truly had the best of both worlds – coming together as a team to golf for a great cause,” said Trey Davis, Chief Executive Offer at Western Healthcare. “It is an honor for us to sponsor and be associated with this incredible organization.”

Sharon Krietzburg, Executive Director at Project Angel Fares (holding the check in the photo above), is humbled by Western’s generosity.

A big thank you to Western Healthcare for being a sponsor at our event. Our program would not be possible without the kindness Western has demonstrated,” said Sharon. “Your contribution will allow five families to have ‘the trip of a lifetime.’ We can’t wait to see the smiles on their faces!”
